It allows you to identify counterfeits so you can be sure you're getting the HP quality and reliability you paid for. The feature is
available as a FREE software download for HP LaserJet printers and MFPs.

The software functions in both direct-connect and network environments and will
authenticate multiple printers at the same time. Many devices introduced after 2004 are supported.

How it works:

1. DOWNLOAD the FREE software from the HP website at www.hp.com/afr/en/tonercheck

2. Run the SETUP WIZARD

3. Perform a SEARCH for printers—the software will detect all directly connected and
networked HP LaserJet printers and MFPs¹

4. Initiate AUTHENTICATION

* If only Original HP cartridges are detected, you will receive a thank you message

* You will be notified if the software detects any Non-HP cartridges

Note: For HP inkjet printers and all-in-ones, the authentication feature is included within the printer software thus
no need for download. When an ink cartridge is installed and a print job initiated, a pop up appears on the computer screen,
indicating cartridge status as genuine or not genuine.
